La etapa de la maternidad no siempre estuvo en los planes de la familia. De hecho, en una reciente entrevista con Luis Jara en el programa Al piano con Lucho , contó que a su esposo no le gustan los niños y que su rol de madre está por sobre todo.

En esa misma línea, detalló que “mi marido me dijo, ‘Me hundes la vida, Pacita’. A él no le gustan los niños, y él no quería tener hijos. Pero la maternidad para mí, mis hijos son lo más importante” , insistió, en el espacio de TV+ (TV Más).
Bascuñán reconoció que “soy de esas personas que no estoy yo primero, están primero mis hijos . Yo creo que eso es malo, creo que uno tiene que estar primero, pero en mi vida están primero mis hijos”.
